In February 2006 Governor Gregoire signed a Regulatory Improvement Executive Order that said, "Citizens and businesses deserve state agencies that will be innovative and creative in simplifying their procedures for permits, licenses, regulatory compliance and all other business operations".

 

In response to this Executive Order, the Governor's Office of Regulatory Assistance along with several other state and federal regulatory agencies worked together to create this new one-stop permitting service.

 

Currently, this site offers information about the Joint Aquatic Resource Permit Application (JARPA) process as well as special services for Washington State Department of Transportation projects, including online application and review.   We are working to add other permits to this site and to expand our special services to other applicants. 

 

We want to make this site a valuable resource for everyone who might need an environmental permit. Send us your suggestions so we can update and add information to the site.  If you have a general comment we want to hear that too.

Select jurisdictions across the state are taking the opportunity to use the updated, easier to read and easier to use version of the JARPA form (JARPA 2008) for some projects. If your project is being constructed in one of the jurisdictions listed below, please contact them to see if they would prefer you use JARPA 2008 or JARPA 2007.  All JARPA 2008 forms will need a Unique Project Identifier (UPI).
